Unfortunately, OPay is not offering airtime to cash services in its mobile application (app). However, you can use it's alternative; PalmPay to convert your excessive airtime to cash and send it to your bank account.

How to convert your Airtime to Cash
If you don't have a PalmPay Account yet, I think it's time to download the app on Google play store or Apple app store. Once you install the app on your device, open it and register an account.
Once you're done registering an account, complete your KYC such as linking your BVN and NIN to PalmPay. Once all these are completed, you can proceed to convert your excessive airtime to cash on the app. However, if you already have a PalmPay Account, you can proceed directly by following the steps highlighted below.
Converting Airtime to Cash on PalmPay
Follow these steps to easily convert your excessive airtime to cash:
- Login to your PalmPay Account via App
- Tap on "More" in the services section
- Select "Recharge2Cash" and select your preferred network e.g. MTN
- Enter your MTN Number and click on "Sell Airtime to Get Cash"
- PalmPay will send you an OTP via your MTN Number. The code is a authentication to login to your MyMTN Account. Confirm the code and tap on "Login"
- Once you're in, enter Amount of airtime you wish to convert and click on Proceed.
- The amount will be deducted from your MTN balance and get credited to your PalmPay account balance.
- From there, you can withdraw your preferred bank account in Nigeria.
What You Need To Know
Do note that rate and charges are applied. For instance, if you're selling airtime of N5000 to cash, you may receive a cash of N4,500. However, the rate and charges applies will be reviewed to you at the page of conversion.
It's also important to note that PalmPay is currently offering Recharge2Cash services to MTN customers only. People using Airtel, GLO and 9Mobile can explore other options of converting their airtime to cash.
According to PalmPay, "Recharge2Cash is a safe, fast, and easy way to convert airtime to cash. This service is available to MTN subscribers only. Other networks coming soon."
